“Ready”

“Remember you get only one chance, you cannot change it later”

“Okay”

My friends and I,every summer after exams we choose our location for our summer trips by  blindfold one and that one will put a pin on the map without her knowing where she did.Then we all would pack our bags and go the wherever it may be, even if its in the middle of an unknown island.

This time it was my turn to pin the places I stretched my arm far, and inserted the pin very far away.

This place had no name,it was somewhere between Myanmar and Thailand.Not very far away

It was my birthday the day after, the day we are suppose to leave.So we planned that tomorrow we will celebrate my birthday here with friends and family and right after that we leave for our greatest adventure to nowhere.

It was finally  that day, lot of things were happening today, in just one hour guests would start arriving  and after that we would leave home.

My two friends Ananya and Mickey,with whom I would be going on the trip with, were the first to arrive. Ananya was a tall girl with straight blackish brown hair, when she stood in the sun her hair appeared to magically change its color. she loved going to places and discovering the colors of that place.Mickey was shorter that Ananya, she had lived half her life in New York.she had brown hair, and everytime she stepped out of the house she would have a different hairstyle each time.

Mickey had put up her hair in a cute  bun, while Ananya just let her hair loose.

“How come a very simple hairstyle today”,I asked her.

“Just want to be comfortable for the road”she said.

We just cut the cake,which was my favorite it was black forest with three cherries.

Just after the cake was cut Ananya picked up a huge piece and rubbed it all over my face,Mickey followed.We all were covered in cake and laughing our hats off.This was a memory I wanted lock inside my heart.These are the moments that we realise that each one of us has to be there for one another.I can’t imagine my life without them.

We had left for “THE PLACE”, three hours ago we were now reaching there.

I saw a huge board it looked really old, on that in large faint letters was written “ERAS”and right under that in white chalk was written”Save your life and leave this place, if you don’t you are risking your own life.

“That a really good way to scare someone”,I told my friends.

They laughed

I wanted to  turn around and go back but the car had already left.The place had more ruins than color wasn’t even a soul in the next 5000km  The was only one structure which wasn’t destroyed completely was a red bricked castle, it looked really old but it was  the only sturdy structure.Since we had to stay there for a week that was thew only place that looked better that the others.It was already late night and we were really tired after the the road trip we just feel asleep in the red castle.

After an hour or so I woke up to the sound of mourning, when i looked around I saw that Ananya wasn’t there.She would never just get up and disappear. She normally was very scared to even get out of her blanket.Just as i was thinking this the mourning grew louder.It grew so loud that I was surprised how Mickey was still sleeping, she was clearly alive, I knew that because of her endless snoring .As I stepped outside the mourning stopped.I looked around to see I Ananya was around.Seconds later when I looked down,throught the tall grass I could see a body of a girl she was wearing jeans.Thats when it came to me,ANANYA WAS WEARING THE SAME JEANS.That was here lying in the grass.I didn’t understand what happened, what was I suppose to do. I was too shocked to cry, scream or even move.i was just staring at her lifeless body.She was so full of color and now she was just lying in black and white.As i moved closer to the body I saw a white piece of paper.it was covered in dirt and blood.On that chit it was written “COME IN”.I remembered that Mickey was alone sleeping.When I went inside she wasn’t there but instead of her were she was sleeping a girl if I could say, she had long hair, ghostly hands her legs were crooked, her face was nearly visible through her hair.I could only see her teeth.They were so scary and dirty.I couldn’t imagine how the were in her mouth.She crawled toward me, i was so scared to move when I heard Mickey scream.I ran into the kitchen were the voice seemed to come.Under the table I saw a small piece of cloth, I bent underneath to find the same lady,she smiled at me as if she knew i was going to look there.I jumped up and followed the second scream.This time I was sure that it was Mickey her scream came from the closet.                                                                When I opened the closet door, there she was she was all scared and cuddled up in one corner.

“Ananya is dead, the lady killed her.”I told Mickey

We both were crying until we heard distinct footsteps.

“She’s coming we need to leave this place.”I said.

We ran as fast to the front door she was standing there, we didn’t stop, I ran through her and didn’t stop running.

I didn’t even bother to look back, when I did my life turned upside down.

Mickey was lying at the foot of the house.She died and i let her.

I wish I could turn back the clock and bring the wheels of time to a stop.I Would go back to the day of my birthday.I wanted to spend more time with them.I wanted every second on the clock had with them.

I started to run as far away from Eras,that what Mickey and Ananya would want.I ran so fast that I left the wind behind.

When I finally stopped to breathe in some air, which seemed never to exist in my body, I realized I was still in Eras. how much ever I ran I couldn’t get out of this haunting place.

It turns out there is a story to this place.

Eras was a city of joy, fun and laughter. It was a perfect city anyone would ever wished for. The king of Eras was the of best Kings Eras had ever had. The king and queen lived a palace made of red bricks.It was beautifully constructed by the king and queen themselves.But then something happened. A curse was gifted to the Queen of Eras.When she opened it she saw it was just a normal stone but when she touched it the evil spirit from the stone possessed her.She herself destroyed every single living color.She was the only human which existed in Eras.Everything fell before her.That was the same lady who killed my friends.She haunts eras every day of her life until someone comes and retrieve her from this curse.She could place the evil spirit inside anyone she wanted.But none used to come to Eras anymore, until we did.

I should know this for I haunt Eras now waiting for the next victim to come and free me from this spell.
